In the bar chart, the most dramatic fall is in the U.A.E from 57% in 1975 to 8% in 1995. Libya, Kuwait, and Tunisia have the most significant fall after the U.A.E in the last 40 years. The least one is Palestine which falls from 17% in 1967 to 14% in 2004. The table shows the age of first marriage for men in 12 Arab countries, plus Turkey + Iran, ranges from the mid-20’s to the high-20. For women the range is low – 20’s to mid 20’s.
In summary, the bar chart and the table show the marriage percentages and averages. The bar chart shows that women are getting married at a later age. The table shows that, on average; women in the U.A.E are first married at the age of 23.1.
